One of the kittens, in blue fur, was able to walk away so she went back to her apartment to rescue her sister Chloe from the zoo.
Ms Williams, who lives in Cambridge on a single income, said: "I just loved all the noise."
"It was quite beautiful. It was like watching a movie together."
