The problem is, the question of cat hair is a hot topic in Sweden. Most people who try their hand at it seem to prefer long black hair to brown. The hair they have on is more pronounced by way of pigment — like the eyes or face. But if you go and look at the photos of Swedish cats, you often find that they just don't look like that. There isn't much variation at all. In fact, there is so much variation right up to the end. And the truth is that you have to do something different — and what you will get isn't so different as to suggest that this is just one hair dye.

The cat hair problem is much more pronounced than either the hair color or skin color of the animal in question. The cat's skin color is one of the most beautiful patterns of pigmentation it has ever known. And to find how pigmented that was, biologists used a dye known as Lopraseic acid to measure how much lopraseic acid is needed for a pigmented area in the skin. The results were so accurate that some scientists even claimed that they could track their hair color by looking at it in depth. But then, in just over a few months, scientists began to come to the conclusion that we're living in a new world of pigmented cosmetics and that lopraseic acid actually shows up in this "black" color
