A big part of the reason why the series gets so high-profile is because it's really fun to see how an individual can make his own way – especially a teenage girl who just wanted to be loved in her own way.
"It can go a little bit against the school narrative. It's pretty heavy, and it's so complex. But from the outside it's very, very human, and that's what they're trying to keep interesting."
It's interesting seeing a girl who's just trying to be loved, and see what it's really like to be loved.
"Kids are always going 'Oh my God, that's so cool. I can do anything!'"
One thing that this show needs is some freshness and some freshness that works out well for the young ladies.
"I feel like I've got it all with my character," she explained. "And the girls are always being kind of in the loop with them.
"I get them to be so nice sometimes, but I feel like they should be in the background to make sure they feel a little more comfortable and like a little more ready for it.
