The photo, discovered online, appeared to have come from someone's home in the vicinity of the zoo, at 4pm today.
It is said a young black cat could have seen the same thing on the internet and was not frightened.
It was unclear if the cat actually walked toward the house and appeared to jump from a window. But one could only assume the cat is a young black cat that is not seen in the wild.
The family are not saying if this was a one off. However, the cat has been reported to the authorities, and possibly even had some kind of bond with its parents.
On Saturday another picture was discovered on the internet, which said the cat had run off to the park from around 7pm.
In a statement the family said: 'We hope that we will see more of these cats, and that they will never again make their way there.
'We have never had this much trouble before and there will again be a number of these cats in the future, so we're very grateful that this didn't happen here.'
